The difference of in, on, at, :

1. in a place = inside. the place is not a line or surface (it has walls or sides)
    Ex : do you live in Milan?
            are my shoes in that shelf?
            please carried my phone in the car

    in a period of time = in the morning, afternoon, evening,
                                      in april, june
                                      in the summer, winter
                                      in 1995
    Ex : i was born in 1995
            my school will get the test in november
            in the, I usually take a dinner with my girlfriend

2. on a place = the place on a line or surface
    Ex : she still on the way
            look, there are some mosquitos on the table
            too many vehicles on the road

    on a periode of time = a day or a date
    Ex : I got my exam on friday
            I shoot my girl on 1st january

3. at a place
    Ex : I saw her at the cinema
            can I meet you at the school parking?
